Corporate Responsibility

Good Energy is a different kind of energy company, committed to providing energy in a way that works to combat climate change. We have a track record of successfully challenging the energy industry to be greener and putting power back into the hands of families, communities and businesses across the country.

Our purpose

Hear from our Founder, Juliet Davenport about why Good Energy exists:

Our energy

We have always sourced our electricity from certified renewable sources such as solar, wind, hydro and biogeneration. We also supply carbon neutral green gas. 10% comes from biomethane and we neutralise emissions from all the gas our customers use through our portfolio of offset projects, which support the development of clean energy around the world.

We’re the first energy company to receive the Good Housekeeping Institute’s new green accreditation after being verified as a “100% renewable electricity provider”. Our standard and fixed tariffs have also been accredited as Uswitch Green Tariff Gold Standard.

Our people

When it comes to looking after our people, we have been a real Living Wage employer since 2015. We are also proud to have achieved an ‘outstanding’ rating by Best Companies, based on the feedback of our employees.

Reporting on our progress

You can find out more about where and how we source our energy, how we look after our people and how we treat our customers at: goodenergy.co.uk and in our 2020 Annual Report.

As a purpose-led business, we aspire to be as transparent as possible about our activities. Our 2020 Annual Report describes what we’ve been doing over the last year, including our response to Covid-19, our evolved business model and an update on our campaign against greenwashing; all reflected in our progress towards achieving our purpose.
